The Minnesota Budget Project is excited to announce
our search for a Policy Analyst, who will create research and data-driven materials, identify and advocate for policy solutions, and collaborate with state and national partners to advance public policies that expand opportunity and economic security to all Minnesotans, particularly Minnesotans with low incomes and Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) Minnesotans.
This role is critical to our mission to advance policy solutions so that all Minnesotans can thrive, regardless of who they are or where they live.
This position currently focuses on affordable health care and child care, and could include emerging state and federal issues and other areas reflecting the analyst’s expertise and interests. The Policy Analyst has skill development, peer-to-peer learning, and fellowship opportunities through the national
State Priorities Partnership.

The policy analyst will shape polices that advance economic and racial justice and make real change in people’s lives. Former team members in this position have protected Medicaid and expanded affordable health care for over one million Minnesotans, ensured stable funding for affordable health care through the Health Care Access Fund, and supported policy changes so that many Minnesotans can afford the child care that meets their family’s needs.
